digital Adaptive Notch Filter (dANF)

Methods and technologies that increase range and data handling capacity are critical to carrier growth strategies.Multiple technologies fitted into limited spectrum slot resulting into capacity /data degradation with growth.

Interference issues:

IM products caused by co-location with other carriers and technologies
Cross border transmissions from traffic on a competing carrier's network, spurious emissions from FM,
Noise
Terrestrial microwave
Corporate data links

are typical sources of dynamic, time varying interference. These types of environments require adaptive interference mitigation techniques.

The digital Adaptive Notch Filter (dANF) identifies, prioritizes and suppresses up to three random and dynamic interference signals that are within the receive bands of mobile communication systems. These in-band interference signals are especially prevalent in spread spectrum (CDMA/UMTS/WiFi) mobile systems, and are extremely difficult to control using conventional means.
Dynamically eliminates in-band interference in CDMA and UMTS networkshnologies
Higher data rates ,fewer call drops/ access failures
Recovers lost coverage and capacity when interference occurs .
Minimizes costly cell splits to recover capacity and coverage.
dANF has no impact on system when in-band interference not present
Reduces mobile Tx power
Decreases noise rise in the system
Improves system quality
