Balun

An unmatched source and load in a transmission system causes poor energy transfer from one part of the system to the next. Baluns are the ideal soultion to the problem as they allow two systems of different charateristic impedence to match and see their ideal laod and source impedance. These provide transmission of a 75 ohms to 120 ohms output.

This avoids losses caused by mismatched and allows full coupling of the transmitted energy from one part of the system to the next.
